The Confusion Factor in Paranormal Research, Deliverance Ministry, and Ghost Hunting.

Post Summary
If a scientist wants to study the effect of antibiotics on bacteria, he simply cultures the bacteria and then exposes it to different antibiotics.  His primary responsibility, in order to keep good scientific method, is to make sure all other possible variables which could impact the bacteria (such as temperature and light) are held constant for all the samples.  It does not matter at all  how the scientist is feeling or whether he is having a good day or just had a fight with his boss, nor does it matter if he is depressed or joyful. Unfortunately this is not true in parapsychological research or even ghost hunting. So what does that mean to those doing paranormal research and deliverance ministry? Find out in my book:

A detailed and expanded version of this post can be found in Pastor Jochem’s book “The Spirit Universe: A Christian View” that is available in the Amazon Bookstore.
