Motives of spirits

Post Summary:

Before I get into discussing the methods and madness that will get you into trouble in the paranormal, I would like to briefly discuss the motivation of spirits, or why they do what they do.
Even though I will discuss the motivation of spirits by type, please keep in mind that they all are in Sheol and that in itself means that their motivation is a best self-interested and at worst outright destructive. Also remember that no matter how innocent and "good" they may seem, they have rejected Christ and await final judgment. So they exist in a temporary state awaiting a much more painful Day of Judgment which they would delay as long as possible. Also be aware that many of these spirits will not make themselves or their motivations know. They will hide from detection so as not to weaken their influence on the living. So what are the motivations of spirits? Find out in my book:

A detailed and expanded version of this post can be found in Pastor Jochem’s book “The Spirit Universe: A Christian View” that is available in the Amazon Bookstore. His book is an invaluable resource to have on hand if you are interested in general information needed for investigating the paranormal, deliverance ministry, or counseling those hypersensitive to the spirit universe or those who are dealing with the occult and negative spirits. The book contains reorganized content from the blog, expanded information, and new content which will not be published in this blog. The book can be read on the Kindle or any device which can run the Kindle application including any Android phone, IPhone, IPad, and the home computer. It is also available in Word and PDF format.
