The Lion's Teeth Part 1 - Bondage to spirits

 Post Summary
8Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour (I Peter 5:8). The lion is a fearsome creature because it has sharp teeth which rip and tear its victim so as to devour it. Under the influence of spirits from Sheol, including the Devil, a hypersensitive can experience the same fate. How so? Check out my book for a complete explanation of these traps and forms of bondage which can hurt the hypersensitive:

Exorcism or Deliverance Part 2

Post Summary:

Deliverance ministry has several basic concepts which are important for the reader to understand. These concepts are so important that deliverance should not be attempted unless they are fully and completely understood and every member of the deliverance team agrees with them. What are these concepts? They are fully discussed in my book:

Exorcism or Deliverance Part 1

Introduction

In the next few posts, I discussed some of the more important differences between exorcism and Christian deliverance ministry. Before I begin, however, I want to caution my readers about two extreme philosophical positions that lead to serious error in dealing with this topic. The first position is that all diseases and abnormal behaviors are caused by a Type D or N spirit. This type of position can lead to the error of seeing a demon behind every tree and bush. It gives too much power and glory to the demonic as witnessed by the numerous movies and television programs about demons and exorcism. The second type of extreme position denies the involvement of the supernatural totally. One finds this type of error in naturalism and humanism. This position rejects the spiritual side of humanity. Extreme positions should be avoided when it comes to either exorcism or a deliverance ministry. There very significant differences between exorcism and deliverance. Find out what they are in my book:

Motives of spirits

Post Summary:

Before I get into discussing the methods and madness that will get you into trouble in the paranormal, I would like to briefly discuss the motivation of spirits, or why they do what they do.
Even though I will discuss the motivation of spirits by type, please keep in mind that they all are in Sheol and that in itself means that their motivation is a best self-interested and at worst outright destructive. Also remember that no matter how innocent and "good" they may seem, they have rejected Christ and await final judgment. So they exist in a temporary state awaiting a much more painful Day of Judgment which they would delay as long as possible. Also be aware that many of these spirits will not make themselves or their motivations know. They will hide from detection so as not to weaken their influence on the living. So what are the motivations of spirits? Find out in my book:

Skeptics - Healthy and Unhealthy

Introduction

I would very much like to add to this blog, a list of sites written by those skeptical of the paranormal. I am doing this because I believe that we must stay open to alternative explanations of the paranormal and measure those alternatives by the weight of our own experiences and gathered evidence. After all, there are all kinds of conclusions and opinions in the world, not just our own. I started my research in this area as a skeptic, though my own hypersensitivity made it a challenge and I did not remain overly skeptical for too long. If you read this blog, you will understand some of the ways I tested my observations and conclusions, not just taking them at face value. Skepticism has a role to play in both personal experience and scientific inquiry, Any serious Ghost Hunting team or Deliverance Ministry must be at heart, skeptical. So what is a healthy attitude of skepticism? What is unhealthy skepticism? You can find out in my book:

Psychic or Psychotic Part 2

Post Summary:

In the first part of this post, I generally discussed the problem of telling the difference between mental illness and psychic experiences. I noted that the combination of mental illness and hypersensitivity to the paranormal is the worst case. So what are the 9 key observations which will help you to tell the difference between psychosis and psychic? Find out in my book:

Psychic or Psychotic Part 1

Introduction
I am crazy! I am as loony as a tune! I am as nutty as a fruit cake! I am as loose as a goose! All these statements are made by those hypersensitive to the paranormal at least once during their lifetime. The reason is obvious. Hypersensitives have experiences which are so far from the "normal" definition of reality that they feel "way out there" most of their lives. It is not till they gain some self-understanding and personal maturity that they can begin to accept themselves and what they experience paranormally.
If, however, you are part of a deliverance team or are doing paranormal research, it becomes imperative that you differentiate between those who are mentally ill and those who are being influenced or even possessed by a spirit, and that can be a complex problem.  So how can you tell the difference between menatal illness and hypersensitivity? Find out in my book:
